NOTICE TO CORRESPONDENTS.
Martin Hullten, Half-Ounce.— We have the assurance of several of the shareholders who were present at the meeting referred to, that the report of it furnished to our correspondent, and published by us, was substantially correct. Our correspondent, in his remarks on the report, did not state that you were discharged "because you were unfit to work." The words were — "The manager should bet.be best judge of the fitness of the men under his control, as he is responsible to the company for the proper performance of the work." That these were injurious reports, widely circulated to the prejudice of the company, is proved by the fact that certain shareholders refused to contribute further calls until the origin of these rumors were discovered and the reason explained. You were wrongly advised when you wrote the letter you forwarded to us, for your communication bristles with the slander and libel of -which you complain. If,, as you say you cannot obtain your wages, why don't you sue the company ? We must decline to insert your letter.
