[NEW ZEALAND PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Nov. 12. The Nebraska leaves to-morrow. [Lyttelton, Nov. 12. Arrived — Lady Jocelyn, 87 days from London. She brings the Bishop of Dunedin and party, 23 cabin passengers, and 233 immigrants, all well. The immigrants include 150 of Brogden's navvies. Dunedin, Nov. 12. Bishop Moran leaves to-morrow for Wellington. Auckland, Nov. 12. Father Norm writes to the Cross stating that Freer, previous to his death, formally renounced Masonry, whereupon Norris administered the last sacrament. The body would have been buried in Catholic ground, only the Masons insisted upon holding ceremonies at the funeral, which the Bishop refused to allow. Mr Swanson, M.H.R., at the Market House luncheon, characterised the General Assembly as " a festering sink of iniquity and corruption." Manuhiri and a large party of Natives are in tho hills eatiug fern roots. The Kingites are all suffering from scarcity of food ; the early crop of potatoes were cut by the frost. Mr Macfcay says the £ing is disposed to open friendly negotiations.
