The following, which is compiled from an official time table issned by the Post Office Department, shows the days on which the San Francisco mail is due at and departs from Greymonth during 1872 : — Inwards. Outwards. July 21 August 0 August 18 , 32 September ... 15 September ... 20 October .'3 October 27 November ... 1 November . 25 December .. 8 December ... 22
The time allowance between Greymouth and Auckland is six days ; between Auckland and San Francisco, 24 days; and between San Francisco and London, from 19 to 2(J days— total from Greymouth to London, 49 to 50 days
