THE SAN FRANCISCO MAIL.

The following, which is compiled from an official time cable issued by the Post Office Department, shows the days on which the San Francisco mail is due at and departs from Greymouth during 1872 : —

The time allowance between Greyoouth and Auckland is six days ; between Auckland and San Francisco, 24 days; and between San Francisco and London, from 19 to 20 days— total from Greymouth to London, 49 to 50 days
