The Lyttelton Times of Saturday, 12th Inst., makes the following report regarding stock and stations : — The weather daring the past week has not been favorable for grass, as the nights have been remarkably cold, and consequently the pastures have made little progress towards that abundance of feed which we begin to expect at this season of the year. We trust, however, that before our next report is due, more genial weather will have set in, and thus remedy what has been the defect of our present spring. In thertock market matters are in the state of change which is always observable at this season of the year, and consequently it is difficult to give quotations which will be a reliable guide. Oar readers mast, theiefore, draw their own inferences from the records of actual transactions as found in the auctioneers' reports. The prices reported at the West Coast are not very encoaraging to the dealers, who most, in many instances lately, have bought too dear. The supply of both sheep and cattle continues ample, although the quality, as a rule, is not first-rate at present,
