Some three years back Messrs Thomas and Fox, fellmongers, Melbourne, not obtaining some necessary advances for wool, were compelled to suspend payment, and eventually arranged with their creditors by paying 10s in the pound, taking a release absolutely. The creditors were on Wednesday last agreeably surprised at receiving an invitation to meet, and receive the ; whole of, the residue of their respective debts. The meeting took place the same evening, at the University Hotel, Carlton, when the creditors were fully paid.
