NEW GOLD FIELD IN THE NORTH ISLAND. [NEW ZEALAND PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Auckland, Oct. 11. It is reported that gold has been discovered by natives at Tontiaporutu. The owners, Toranaki natives, applied to the King for permission to open the field., This was refused, so the natives intend to open the ground on their own responsibility.
