PROCEEDINGS IN PARLIAMENT. MR. STAFFORD'S STATEMENT. [prom our own correspondent.] Wellington, Sept. 13. .. Mr Stafford, in answer to a question by Mr Harrison, this afternoon, stated that it wa3 not the intention of the Government to propose any legislation for the West Coast Gold Fields, or to make any constitutional changes, but that they will make enquiry during the recess. The Ahaura and Reef ton petitions were presented to-day.
