The following, which is compiled from an official time table issued by the Post Office Department, shows the days on which the San Francisco mail is due at and departs from Grey month daring 1872 : — • Inwards. S?2 December ... 8 J December 20 The time allowance between Greyiaouth and Auckland is six days ; between Auckland and San Francisco, 24 days; and between San Francisco and London, from 18 to 20 days— total from Greymouth to Lionddn, 4!) to 50 days
