The vessel •was drawing 17ft aft, and about 16ft for* ward. The Wave Queen was safely berthed at about half-past one o'clock, or close, on high water, amidst .the congratulations of a large number of the inhabitants, who assembled on the pier, in honor of the,occasion, bunting waV displayed on the pier; as well as on the Government ftagstaffsj a'nd'Mr Tayler's. These last soundings Were all alongside : ih» pier. The dredged' gutter under the keel would therefore be still deeper.
