A Chemical Preparation of Phosphorus^ with the Vegetable Alkaloids, Quinia, Cypripeden, Xanthoxylin, &c. The action of th< Phosphodyne is twofold— on the one ham increasing the principle which constitute nervous energy, and on the other the mos powerful blood and flesh generating agen known ; therefore a marvellous medicine fo renovating impaired and broken down con stitutions. Sir Charles Locock, Physical Accoucheu to Uer Majesty the ljueen, stated at a meet ing of the Royal Medical aud Cbirurgica Society, that in thirteen cases of debility and nervous prostration he had effected per manent cures by the use of Dr. Bright': Phosphodyne. . •« . Sir Win. Ferguson, Bart.,. F.R.S.','.Sur geon to Her Majesty the Queen, says—" 1 have repeatedly prescribed Dr. Bright'i Phosphodyne and found it an agreeable anc beneficial remedy. I have but one objectioi regarding it, and that 'is, the elaborate pro cess required in the preparation will not allow of the retail price being within the reach oi all classes." Dr Lancaster, the Eminent Coroner, says — " Dr Bright's Phosphodyne is calculated to entirely supersede iron, mercury, sarsapa< rilla, quinine, and cod liver oil." " DrR. Quain, F.R.C.P., Physician to tht Hospital for Consumption, Brompton, remarks — "It cannot be doubted that this Phosphatic preparation will henceforth rank foremost in therapeutics ; it generates aU the important elements of . the human frame, the peculiar character of this substance fitting it for vital uses." - • Sir T. Lawrence says — " I have found Dr. Bright's Phosphodyne an excellent remedy in skin diseases. I presume it is by oxydisation." Professor Syme says— ' ' The effects of the Phosphodyne in obstinate cases of disease areas astonishing as perplexing." Dr HandfieUV Jones, P.RC.b., .F.R.S;, Physician to St. Mary's Hospital, says in Atrophy and General Debility, Phosphodyne is a most admirable remedy j it invigorates the nutritive functions and increases the Vital Energy— •• it not only acts as an absorbent," but retards or repairs the waste of tissue, and restores the Nutritive Functions to their normal condition.The "Lancet" considers the Phoaphodyne one of the most important contributions made to Materia Medica, during the last century.
