A special meeting of the Christchurch Presbyterian Church Extension Association Committee was held on Thursday last. Relative to the important field at present vacant through the translation of the Rev W. Hogg to Ross, the secretary urged upon «! c ™ m!mfctee Me desirability of assistiug the Westland Association in trying to provide for a minister at Reefton, aud suggested that the Association might consider whether they could not supplement the offer of stipend made by the Westland Association. It was moved by the Rev J. Campbell, seconded by Mr J. D. Macpherson, and agreed to-" That the president, secretary, Rev A. F. Douglas, Mr Watt, and the mover, be ■appointed a committee to consider what steps may be taken to provide supply for •keefton."
