Alhambra will be here from Nelson to-day, when she will be despatched for Melbourne direct with gold, passengers, and mails. The schooner Gleaner is announced to sail for Melbourne direct to-morrow. , Yesterday morning the s.s. Wallabi ran down as far as the bar, but had to return to been thrown up by the last tide. The channel has changed daring recent freshets, but it is expected to return to its usually good condition in a day or two. The Wallabi will, most probably, leave this morning for Wanganui direct.
