The Arrowtown correspondent of the Dunstan Times writes : —An extensive piece of auriferous country has been discovered up the Arrow River, about seven miles above Macetown ; a rush on a large scale is expected in the spring. Between the Arrow River and Lake Wanaka the attention of miners is much directed, and I should not wonder to sse something valuable discovered in this direction ere long ; it is all compara* tively untried ground. ' . '
