Westport, June 22. At Westport O'Conor addressed a large meeting, appealing for an inqui.y by the General Goverriment, Mr Reid followed, but no resolution was put. The meeting concluded with three cheers for Reid, and three groans for O'Conor. Dunedin, June 22. At an extraordinary meeting of the Water Works Company, it was resolved that the works should be offered to the Corporation at L 6 per share premium. New Plymouth, June 22. Arrived.— Phcebe, from the Manakau. She leaves for Nelson at noon. The Board of Health has fixed the quarantine anchorage near the Sugar Loaf. Wanganoi, June 22. The schooner Kate is breaking up. She was sold by auction for L6O. M'Dowell's prospecting party has returned, but are reticent. Another party starts shortly, aided by subscriptions. Wellington, June 22. A New Zealand Gazette to-day appoints the wood and iron building, north of the Lagoon Town, known as Kennedy Bros, warehouse, a bonded warehouse.
