The schooner Lady Don was taken over the bar yesterday, and has every prospect of a fine trip to Lyttelton, to which port she is bound. The handy little steamer Waipara came up on Saturday with a large portion of the Tararua's cargo. She lost no time in her trip, leaving again lost night. The ss Kennedy was expected last night, but had not n*ade her appearance up to the hoar of oar going to press. A collision has occurred in Darling haibor between the Government steamer Thetis and the Diamantina, in which the latter sustained considerable damage. Early in the morning of March the 28th, the Australian packet ship Yatala, Captain John Legoe, for Adelaide, bound for London, with 35 passengers, 3562 bales of wool, aud other miscellaneous cargo, was stranded between Andresselles and Cape Grisnez in the Channel ; the passengers and crew were rescued; the masts 'Were cut down, and it was hoped the hull would hold together.
