The schooner Aspasia, Captain Johnston, from Lyttelton, was towed to the wharf yesterday morning by the p.s. Dispatch. She left Lyttelton on the 27th May, and on the run up to the entrance of the Straits sighted a schooner dismasted off the Kaikouras, She ran down to the helpless vessel, which proved to bo the Edward, Delones master, bound from Havelock for Lyttelton, with timber; took her in tow, and made for Wellington Harbor, which was reached in the night of Friday, the 31st ult. The Aspasia Jcf t again on Sunday, and encountered bad weather all the way through the Straits and down the coast. Sho arrived off this bar on Thursday morning, but the weather was too thick to attempt to reach the bar. \ esterday morning she was brought in as above. Sho has a cargo of produce. With regard to the, plucky act of Captain Johnston in saving the dismasted schooner, we take the following from the Wellington Evening Po*.t, of June I:—"The1 :— "The dismasted veippl mentioned by us last evening proves to be the Eaward, Delones master, fioin Havelock for Lyttelton, with a cargo of timber. She was dismasted on Monday evening off Kaikpura, in a S.W squall, and on Wednesday the Aspasia, Johnston master, bound to Greymouth, fell in with and took her in tow. In spite of all "difficulties, the Aspasia struck to the helpless vessel, and succeeded in bringing her into port. Captain Johnston deserves much praise for his conduct"
