Owing to bad weather and deficient supply of coal, the vessels in port are still detained, though it iB hoped that some of thorn will get away to-day or to-morrow. The fine barque Kate Conley is now ready for sea, having completed her ballasting yesterday. She , will have immediate despatch, and passengers could not choose a more comfortable means of transport to Melbourne than in her. Although the Waipara managed to reach the Rangitoto in the Hokitika roadstead yesterday afternoon, the sea was so heavy that it was impossible to tranship cargo. It i», however, anticipated that the cargo will be landed this morning, and consequently she may be looked for off this port to-day.
