A Gazette, published yesterday, shews the receipts under Consolidated Fund, quarter ended 31st March, L 384,192 ; the Colonial charges, L 293,208. . Dunedin, May 18. Tolmie has given notice of a series of resolutions showing the necessity for the abolishment of the Provincial system, and the substituting of Boards chosen by the Council to govern affairs. In 1867-68 the Province received -1.81,359 from Consolidated Fund, this year 0n1yL!3,733. The estimated revenue was L 267,80 0; expenditure, L 281,323. . ; Nelson, May 18. It is reported that Mr Saunders stands, and will go to the poll ; and it is rumored Richmond resigns in his favor. Timartj, May 18. A lenghened inquiry into the fire has taken place, and an open verdict returned. '
