The 88 Kennedy arrived on Saturday morning from Hokitika, and went out at midnight, bound for Westport and.Nelson. The 88 Waipara left on Saturday for Hokitika. We understand that she will very shortly make another southern trip to Okarito and Martin'd Bay. The as Albion may be very shortly looked for, though the date of her arrival is uncertain. She has been detained for some days by the Government in Wellington, for the purpose of sending correspondence by the Suez mail, and she will therefore be despatched immediately on arrival. The agent states that she will not leave Wellington till to-day, and cannot be here till Wednesday ; but a private telegram, dated 7.50 p.m on Saturday, that we have seen, said she .would leave at 10 p. tn that evening. A three-masted vessel -was in sight yesterday making for this port. It is supposed to be the Kate Conley. If such is the case, she has lost no time, having only arrived in Melbourne on the 25th nib.
