TENDERS are invited for the Cartage and Distribution of Fifteen Tons, more or less, Telegraph Material, along the Telegraph Line between Greymouth and Hokiwka, About 11 tons to be delivered to the Contractor at Hokitika, and the balanca at Greymouth. ; Tenderers must state the shortest time in • which they will undertake to complete the delivery. A deposit of £10 will be required from the accepted tenderer, to be forfeited in the event of his not completing the work according to contract. Tenders addressed " The Inspector of Telegraphs, Greymouth," and endorsed "Tender for Cartage," must be lodged at the Telegraph Office, Greymouth, or Hokitika, on or before noon, 14th May inst. TENDERS are required for the Carriage and Distribution, between Greymouth and Reefton, of about Sixteen Tons Telegraph Material, consisting of coils of wire, weighing about lOOlbs ; bundles of wooden arms, 901bs j boxes of bolts, lOOlbs; boxes of pole roofs, 701bs ; and boxes of insulators, lewt each. Enough of each to make up abont G^cwt, iv about four deliverys per mile throughout the whole distance. It must be tendered for as a whole, but at separate prices for the following sections :— 1. Greymouth to Arnold . . 2. Arnold to Abaura 3. Ahaura to Little Grey Township 4. Junction to Devery's Terrace 5. Devery's Terrace to Squaretown. 6. Squaretown to Reeftpni . Nos. 3 and 5 to be distributed first, and immediately. No. 1 may remain at Greymouth till new dray road is passable. Nos.. 2 and 4 to be distributed immediately the horse tracks between, the points named are passable, and No. 6 to be distributed as soon as the dray road is passable. Three weeks will be allowed for delivery of 3 and 5, arid the rest must be laid within 14 days after the contractor is notified that the several sections are open for traffic. The contractor must undertake to pack the material through No. 6 if required, and an additional price must be named for the section should that be done.
