In pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General 'Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Regulation of Elections Act, '1870," I, Caleb Whitefoord, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Grey, do hereby give notice, that by virtue of a Writ, 'bearing date, of the 3Qth day of March, 1872, issued under the hands of his Honor the Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, an Election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as a member of the Provincial Council of the Province of Nehon for the said Electoral Dibtrict, and that the Nomination of Candidates will take place at the Court House, Cpbden, on Tuesday, tbe J twenty-third day of April, 1872, at 12 o'clock noon ; and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on Saturday, the^ Wenty-seventh day of April, 1872, from nine o'clock a. m. to four o'clock p. m.
