Siricethe date of our last monthly summary, some 50,000 bushels of wheat have found their way into buyers' hands. In the earlier part of the month 3s 8d was the top yalue for wheat, but during the last fortnight prices have hardened, and best Bamples are now quitted at 3s 9d, though many farmers are now holding for higher rates. In oats very little has been done, their value being "only from Is 7d to Is Bd. Barley has not been heard of, and but lie tie seems to have been grown iv the district. JFlour is worth Ll2 10s per tou ; sharps, L 4 j bran, L 3 ; potatoes, L 7 to LB. Oamaru. —The Times, of A.pril 9, reports:— Wheat still remains at 4s ; oats, Is 8d to Is '9(l;' parley, for malt purposes, would realise 4s for prime sample— demand brisk, with an upward tendency j flour, Ll2 ; oatmeal, Ll3 ; pollard, L 4; bran, L 3; potatoes, L 5 (nominal).
