FRANCE.
M. Thiera has summoned the generals of France to give an account of the state of feeling in the army. Thiers and party have broken with the Orleanists, but are in accord with the Legitimists. The leading Paris journals assert that a conspiracy has been detected by M. Thiers' Government, in which the leading Bonapartist Generals were chiefs. The plan was to break up the Assembly by force, and to reinstate Napoleon. The Government has sent armies to guard the northern frontier against the conspirators, who have their headquarters in Belgium. A movement has been started among some members of the Assembly to make Thiers President for life, and the Assembly elective yearly. It is reported that Count Chambourd is backed by the Pope in operating on the bishops for the rule of France. Chambourd had received large iufluential deputations. The Patrie asserts that the mission of Prince Frederick Charles of Prussia, now in Rome, is to bring about an alliance between Germany, Austria, and Italy.
