Mr Chilman, of Taranaki, has again arrived in the Colony. Previous to lea /ing England, Mr Chilman was present at a meeting of the Titanic Charcoal Iron Company in London, at which he gave particulars as to the proposed company and its operations. Mr Riley, Mr Carter, and other gentlemen hore testimony to the value of the Taranaki iron sand, which, it was believed, if mixed with clay, and proper skill employed in the erection and working of the furnace, would yield very important results. After some discussion a: resolution was passed approving of the forma- > tion of the company. '•
