Watson, heard in the Court of- , Mines, at Sandhurst, on the 29th February, a verdict was given by the defendant. The question of costs "was reserved until the followingjday. The action taken by the: miners of Sandhurst to reduce the hours of labor and improve the working. miners' position is likely ; to ; lead to. an ameliorationof the; condition of the ; miners .through the colony. The Bendigo Advertiser, of the 2Tth- February, states that ■■.."■■the Bendigo Miners': Association at its lastmeecingrreceived a requisition from the miners of Llanelly, asking for the formation of a branch there, and two delegates were;-ap-pointed to visit the place, and on Saturday, last proceeded there for. that purpose. ■ At the conclusion, of the, meeting. three cheers were given for the Bendigo Miners' Association.- ... A strong committee was formed to cany. out the objects of the society, and a good many names enrolled." . ■
