Obey River Akous Office, Monday evening. The amount of revenue received at the Customs on goods passed for home consumption to-day was £106 2s Bd. Gold duty • • £161 16s 6d.

Melbourne.— The Argus of the 26th ult, reports:— In the import markets a fair amount of business has been transacted this forenoon. Flour has been moved off for trade purposes at Ll2 12s 6d to Ll2 15s for town made ; country brands are quoted at Ll2 os to Ll2 17b 6d, bnt we have not heard of any special inquiry or sales of such descriptions. Wheat, being wanted, would be token up very freely at 5s 6d; supplies, however, are very backward, and stop business, but, notwithstanding this scarcity, no higher quotations can be given. Oate are quiet, and no Sarcels are offering. Maize is saleable at b 9d in parcels, aud several lines have been dosed for at tho price. Candles are not brisk ; we quote lid to }l\, but purchasers ' do not como forward with any freedom, Cornsacks are hard to move, though holders are willing sellers now at 12s 3d. Sugars still meet with a very free sale ; we hear of 1503 bags having been quitted at prices ranging from L 37 to 140. Besides those offering on Monday, ex Highflyer, we understand, that abodt 3300 bags Mauritius, the balance of several cargoes, in addition to Bourbon sugars, -will be sold on Tuesday. Teas are beginning to attract attention ; we hear of about 700 packages— boxes and halfcheats—having been placed at figures rising to Is 6d for boxes. There is a good inquiry, and further sales are still pending. In liquids we report ths disposal of several parcels of Hennessy's case brandy at 25s 9d.
