The Clerk stated that he had written to Mr Evison, that he could not be allowed to occupy any part of the reserve^and that if he improved, or built upon it, he would do so at his own risk. Mary Flowers applied, by her agent, Mr Learmonth, to purchase section 273 in the town of Greymouth. Granted, Ll2paid. . ...... Frederick Parker applied to purchase section 277 in the town of Greymouth. Granted, Ll2 paid. . John Austin applied to purchase section 283 in the town of Greymouth. Granted, Ll2 paid. ' Mr Button applied, on behalf of Mr W. Perkius, of Greymouth, to purchase 150 acres of land in block 1, Grey district. Granted, Ll5O paid. -. Francis Kent applied, by his agent, Mr Learmonth, to purchase 20 acres of rural land in block 1, Grey district. Granted, L2opaid. The Board resolved, on the application of Smith and Burrows, to reserve from public sale 125 acres of. land in block 1, Grey district, in payment for public works. ■ . ; On the letter from the Town Clerk, of Greyraouth being considered, Mr Lahman stated that the land applied for was re? quired for a recreation ground. Some discussion took place on the matter, during which it was stated that if the land was required for the purpose men--tiohed the Board would be disposed to grant it to the Borough Council. ;
