[per greville's telegraph company, reuter's agents.] Bluff, Feb. 21, 8 a.m. Melbourne, Feb. 14. The branch steamer Bangatira arrived at Galle on the 13th, after a long passage. Telegraphic datea are to the 23rd January ; Galle, %o 24th Januaiy. The Prince is recovering, and is able to go out. The wool trade remains steady ; transactions not numerous. Next sales will take place on Bth February. Probable arrivals, 70,000 bales. Arrivals to date comprise— Sydney,, 824 ; afloat, 13,568. Port Philip, 1609 ; ' afloat, 37,750. New Zealand, 946 ; afloat, 1829 balest. Considerable reductions in importers' charges for warehousing wool are anannounced. It is expected the late rates will be maintained. New Zealand flax prices firm. Common to superior, L 24 to L 34. Preserved meats scarce and dearer, checking sales. Australian and New Zealand wheat, 52s to 655. Tallow in fair demand. Prices expected to be lower. Sales 5256 casks ; stock 4956 casks. New Zealand Consolidated fives, 103 i; ditto sixes, 1891, March-September, 112; ditto, June-December, 111. Money abundant. Discount quiot. Bank minimum, 3. The stock markets bring out consols at 92|. Hungarian, Prussian, and Poruviau loans are contemplated.
