New Zealand flax prices firm. Common to superior, L 24 to L 34. Preserved meats scarce and dearer, checking sales. Australian and New Zealand wheat, 52s to 655. Tallow in fair demand. Prices expected to be lower. Sales 5256 casks ; stock 4956 casks. New Zealand Consolidated fives, 103 i; ditto sixes, 1891, March-September, 112; ditto, June-December, 111. Money abundant. Discount quiot. Bank minimum, 3. The stock markets bring out consols at 92|. Hungarian, Prussian, and Poruviau loans are contemplated.
