The Kennedy sails this day for Westport, and on her way thence to Nelson hhe will call at the Karatnea, according to an arrangement made with Mr Reuben Waite, Mrs Waite having been left there seriously ill and with no facility for her removal except by steamer. The .Wallabi has been dibuneu for^want of coal. : The United States sloop of war St. Mary arrived at Auckland on Thursday morning' last; at mid-day she saluted, with seven gans, Mr Barber, the .American Consul ; at 4 p.nii fired a royal salute ; the compliment was returned by our naval brigade (Captain Le Roy) with nine gans, booming in accurate time from Brittomart. The St. Mary does not greatly interest in these days of mighty ironclad steam rams. She anchored near H.JVI.S.S.
