The " Bendigo Advertiser" reports the following; unfortunate mining accident :— "On Monday night, at eleyeu. o'clock, | three miners were being lowered down 1 the shaft of the Empire claim in Sparrow- ! hawk Gully, in the bucket, to go on the night shift, . and when the bucket was i down about 50ft or 60ft from the surface one of the men, named Williams, fell out of the bucket to the bottom of the shaft, { about 160 ft, striking on the edge of the stage, and then falling into the well, which contained about 7ft of water.
