The s.s. Murray, Captain Palmer, arrived in port on yesterday morning's tide from Hokitika.

The p.s. Chas. Edward arrived in Hokitika yesterday, from Westport and Nelson. She will be despatched on her return trip to-day. The following extract from a late number of the Overland China Mail, which has been shown to us, throws some light upon the missing vessel Coryphee, reported in the English papers :- " WeleamthatCapt, C. Beard, of the British ship Borealis, from Sydney, picked up on the Ist of October the chief officer and some of the crew belonging to the barque Coryphee, laden with tea, bound from Foo Chow to London. These men had been twenty-eight days at sea in a small boat, and had suffered severe hardships. They report that the vessel was wrecked in lat. 12deg. S. long. ICOdog. E."
