Per Waipara, for Hokitika : 1 chaff-cutter, Forsyth and Masters ; 5 sets truck wheels, Cowlishaw and Plaisted.
The s.s. Waipara sailed for Hokitika on Saturday afternoon's tide. The R.B. Kennedy sailed for Westport and Nelson on Saturday. The p. s. Charles Edward is announced to sail for northern ports to-morrow evening.* The 8.8. Murray, Captain Palmer, left Nelson at 1 p.m. on Wednesday for Motueka, which port she loft at 3 a.m. on Thursday, airiviug at Westport at 4 a.m. on Friday ; left at 6 p.m. for Greymouth, and crossed the bar at 4.30 a.m. on Saturday, and sailed on yesterday afternoon's tide for Hokitika. The barque Kate Conley, Captain J. A,
Roberts, left Port Phillip Heads on Sunday, 7th January, at 9 a.m, with light south-east breezes ; cleared the Straits on the 11th ; calm and Hght easterly and E.N.E. breezes to the 18th. From thence to arrival off the bar on the 21st light southerly and southwest breezes. Experienced very fine weather throughout the passage.
