TELEGRAMS. — — ♦ ■ [per greville's telegraph company, reutbr's agents.] Wellington, Jan. 10. The great prostration of the Prince of Wales is due to hteraoeraga from ulcers in the intestines. It is feared that one of the intestines may be perforated. In that case he would die suddenly by collapse, like Earl Chesterfield. The following additional English commercial news was telegraphed yesterday morning :— Flax— Sales of 1240 bales, fine, L.39 to L 34 ; ordinary to fair, L 22 to L 29 in London, Markets are improved, and the price is firmer. Wool veiy firm, pending next series of sales. Sales of Australian cotton at9£d to 9id. Flax is steady. Tallow firm, with decline of Is on Australian ; mutton, 495 ; beef, 47s 3d. The . latest quotation show markets, with few exceptions, less active. The directors of the Otago and Southland Investment Company haye declared an interim dividend for the half-year of |6 per cent.
