Mr Reeves has been appointed Resident Minister for the Middle Island. . Further Fiji news -says that Captain Sinclair of the schooner Cambria was killed while collecting labor. The vessel" was then taken to Levuka with two natives in irons aboard. During the night natives from the shore boarded and killed Thorpe and Pullford in charge, ran the vessel out of the harbor, released the prisoners and escaped. Another schooner., was attacked at Solomon Islands, but none were killed. Dunedin, Dec. 6. The annual report of the Chamber of Commerce shows the Province's export of wool for the present year 13, 244, 5941 b, and gold 169,2030z. The report contains strong remarks relative to the imposition of the new Stamp Duties. The Escort amounts to 14,5980z. Auckland, Dec. 4. Extensive alluvial gold fields are reported to have been discovered in the Waikato district. The Government are going to test the accuracy of the report. The latest news from Fiji reports that the natives are greatly exasperated at the labor trade. Several more atrocious murders have been committed. Amongst others murdered are Capt.
