T^OTICE is hereby given that Hany -*-" Kenrick, of Greymouth, Esquire, the Provisional Trustee herein, has become and now is the sole trustee of the estate and effects of the above-named bankrupt ; and further, that a public sitting of this Court will be held on the FOURTEENTH day of DECEMBER instant, at ten o'clock in the forenoon, at the Court House, Greymouth, for the said bankrupt to pass his last examination and to make application for bis discharge ; and further, that it is the intention of the said bankrupt then and there to make such application as aforesaid. Up to a certain amount, Assurance Policies bona Jide effected by the assured upon his own life, and Endowment Policies, and Annuities , purchased for the benefit of wife or children, are exempted from the operation of Bankruptcy Acts, and from aeizure under legal process. 2. Up to a certain amount, married women may effect Policies, and dispose of the money assured by will as if single ; and such Policies are free from the debts and control of their husbands. 3. Insurances may be. effected for the benefit of wife and children, with power to apportion amount and such insurance is to be free from the claim of creditors, to the extent of £2000.
