At the Supreme Court, Adelaide, last week; one of the jurymen empannelled refused to take the oath. The Judge's associate promptly commenced the affirmation usually administered in snoh cases, but on getting to the words, "is according to my religious belief unlawful," was again stopped, the r objector stating that' he didihpt: decline, on ithe .ground of "religious belief," but that "he did not believe-in an oath." His Honor and the/ officials were evidently nonplussed ! -*at this novel objection, and there seemed no way of the difficulty. After some time, however, the learned counsel suggested -that he would challenge the juryman, which was accordingly done, and he left the bo*. , :
