QUEENSLAND.

Gympie. [oympib times, sept. 30.] It may be interesting to the mining community to learn that amongst the auriferous leases lately applied for, is one for the ground held by the Great Extended St. Patrick's Company, and another by Messrs Woodburn and M'Ghie for two hundred yarda of the river bed near the crushing machines. Mosley and party, tbe.owners of No. 3 south, Louisa, still continue to get capital stone from the new reef lately discovered by them. They are driving on it north and south, and state that it varies from 3in to 18in in width, and also that wherever it is thickest it is more gold-bearing. We understand on good authority that the Queensland Quartz Crushing Com* pany has ordered, from Victoria, concentrators, with all the latest appliances, for saving pyrites. The new machines will be at once fitted to the company's mills oh its arrival here.
