Hazelden pleaded, guilty to the charge of stealing a watch, and. received six months' imprisonment. Patrick Cordou pleaded not guilty to a charge of false pretences, and was sentenced to two yeai& Patrick Corbett pleaded guilty to a charge ■of rape, and received two years. A true bill has been found against M'Donald on both charges— arson and murder. Auckland, September 1.
