Notice is Hereby Given, in pursuance of " The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867," that on THURSDAY, the FOURTEENTH day of SEPTEMBER proximo, one third of the Councillors assigned to each Ward of the Borough of Greymouth retire by rotation ; and that an ELECTION will be held, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, on the said FOURTEENTH day of SEPTEMBER, for the election of ONE COUNCILLOR for the EAST WARD, in the place of George Willis Nichol ; and for ONE COUNCILLOR for the MiDDfE WARD, in place of Edmund Wickes ; also, for ONE COUNCILLOR for the WEST WARD, in place of William James Coates, so retiring by rotation. ' And Notice is Hereby Fctrther Given that the POLL (if necessary) will commence at 8 a.m. of the clock and close at 4 p.m. of the clock precisely, at the following places, viz.: — For the East Ward— ln the Volunteer Hall, Werita street ; For the Middle Ward— ln the Fire Brigade Hall, Boundary street ; For the Westward— ln the Town Hall, Gresson street.
