The Nelson Loan Bill, for borrowing L 30,000 for s»as .and water purposes for the city of Nelson, was introduced by Mr Curtis yesterday, and will no doubt pass.
In the Upper House, Mr Waterhouse has introduced a Marriage with Deceased Wife's Sister Bill.
The Insolvency and Workman's Lien Bills have been read a first time.
Mr C. O'Neill has given notice to move for a reduction of the gold duty to one shilling" per ounce, and miners' rights to ten shillings.
