Thep.s. Charles Edward sailed yesterday afternoon for Westport and Nelson. There was a pretty heiivy surf rolling in on the bar at the time, but the steamer did not take more than a few sprays on board. The s.s. Omeo returned w> the roadstead last night, without being tendered at Hokitika. She will be tendered here by the p.s. Dispatch early this morning, when both her Hokitika and Greymouth passengers will be landed.
