We regret to learn that Mr Cyras Davie, the Chief Surveyor of Canterbury, is seriously indisposed ; in fact, for sometime his medical advisers despaired of his life, but lately there has been a slight improvement. Mr Davie has been connected with the Province from its foundation, and we feel sure all classes in the Province will regret his severe indisposition.
