The p.s. Charles Edward will leave this pjrt for Hokitika on Sunday morning, and ior Nelson and Westport on Monday, at midnight. The s.s. Murray left Nelson on Wednesday morning for Hokitika, Westport, and the Grey, and she may, consequently, be expected here to-day. The p.s. Dispatch returned from Westport on Friday, after towing the schooner Cores into the Buller River. We are informed by the agents of the s s. Omeo that on the present trip she will not call at Nelson. As she left Wellington last night at eight o'clock, she will be here punctual to her advertised time. On Sunday morning she will be tendered and dispatched with passengers for Melbourne, Sydney, and Adelaide. The barque Kate Conley, Captain Wade, from Melbourne, was towed in last night by the p.B. Dispatch. She left Port Phillip Heads on the 19th May, with light N.E. and E. winds ; passed the Sisters on the 25th ; and from thence until making the land had a succession of N.E and E. gales. She was driven as far as 45i S. and 158.30 E. The land was made off Abut Head on Wednesday at 10 p.m, and since then she has been beating up against the prevailing winds, making the roadstead on Friday afternoon. On the j evening's tide the Dispatch went out and

brought the barque safely to the wharf. She brings over 270 tons of cargo, and is consigned to her owners, Messrs Glenn Brothers. She will commence discharging early this morning. ♦ The sch. Lisruore, forLevuka, Fiji, took her departure from Dunedin on Saturday morning, 30th May, with a fine fair wind. As will be seen in the passenger list, she takes with her a number of well known Clutha settlers : — Mr and Mrs Maitland, family (S), and two servants ; Mr and Mrs PiJlans, family (2), and one servant ; Mr and Mrs De Costa ; Messrs George Kichardson, Maitland, and Fisher.
