Parts, May 4. Commune re-occupied Fort Issy. General Rossel forbids communication with the enemy, and refuses a flag of truce. The Versailles army is actively investing. Chisenlbe has been tried for complicity with the Prussians. Shells from Versailles fell in the Rue Vaugierond. Several persons have been killed in the street. The Prussians demand a strict adherence to the terms of capitulation. Heavy fighting between the Imperialists and Communists took place on the second. Fort Issy and other posts were alternately ctptured and recaptured. In the fight at Clamart there was terriblo slaughter. Three hundred insurgents were bayoneted. Engagements occurred at Neuiily, terminating indecisively. The Insurgents endeavored to erect a citadel at Point de Jour, but Fort Valerien shelled the work and demolished it. Tbe Versailles batteries also shelled Issy. General Megybee was court martialled for abandoning Fort Issy. Torpedoes are placed near the Southern forts ; on trying them five houses were blown up. The troops refuse quarter. Their anger against the insurgents is very great. Spies say that 30,000 Nationals support the Versailles troops. When they entered Paria on the 4th, j the Versailles forces carried the insur. gents' position at Sagnet mill, killed 1500 Communists, captured 10 cannon, and 300 prisoners. Versailles forces abandoned Sagnet mill, being exposed to a heavy fire. Fort laay is completely surrounded, aud the garrison cannot escape. They were exposed to a heavy fire on the sth between the Forts. Castle Issy was burnt by shells. The Versailles batteries shelled Anteuil, damaged the railway station, and compelled the inhabitants to flee. Issy fired slowly, receiving a hail of shells. Vauvres ditto. The Versaillists forces capturned St. Germain, and established a battery of gunboats, and a naval combat is expected. The communists occupy the trenches. Villey Ney and Versaillists uu masked a battery at Moutrclls.

Continuous resultless bombardment at Montrouges and Haute Brayers. The Versaillists constructed batteries at Neuiily. Shells from Mont Valerien ignited Levalloes. The Prussians allow prisoners to enter Paris. Prince- Napoleon is reported to be in London. The Orleanist Princes are expelled from Paris by order of Thiers. Thiers refused a commercial treaty with Germany. An extensive insurrection at Algiers is rumored. The Versailles forces are massing to attack Fort I&3V, and a decisive action is imminent. Bismarck has gone to Frankfort to meet Jules Favre. Communists are in want of money.
