The schooner Waterman, Captain Leßrnn, was brought to the wharf by the p s Dispatch* yesterday morning, and commenced discharging immediately afterwards. Her freight-list and report have already been published. The cargo brought ashore by the p.s Dispatch was ten tons, not two, as stated yesterday. The s.s Omeo is not expected here until the 7th. On arrival she will take passengers and gold for Melbourne direct. The B.s Murray, Captain Palmer, arrived yesterday morning from Westport and Nelson. The brig Magnet, Captain CJinakill, from Melbourne, arrived in the roadstead on Monday afternoon. Yesterday morning the p.s Dispatch ran out to her, but as she could not bring her in that tide she brought ashore her passengers, twelve in number, and her papers. From her master's report, we learn that the brig left Port Phillip Heads on the 22nd ultimo, with light northerly weather ; passed Swan Island at 1 p.m on the 23rd ; from thence had light north-westerly weather until the morning of the 25th ultimo, when she encountered a heavy thunderstorm with lightning and rain. Aft-er then she had light northerly winds and thick hazy weather until the morning of the 26th, when fine clear weather set in which lasted until the morning of the 29th, on which day, at 4 p.m, Mount Cook was sighted, bearing east-south-east. She came up the coast with light breezes from the south, until 20 miles from this roadstead. She ran in with a light westerly breeze, and came to an anchor at 5 p.m. on the Ist inst. Should the weather keep fine she mil be brought in either this or to-morrow morning. She is consigned to her owners, Messrs Kennedy Brothers, whom •we have to thank for late files of Melbourne papers. ___
