New Zealand flax market is quiet, but a fair trade is being done at a shade lower rates It is stated that the flax is not thoroughly prepared. Twenty-six hundred bales were offered, and twelve hundred sold at a decline of L 2 per ton on the average. New Zealand six per cents, unchanged. Fives are one-half per cent, lower.
