Cheistchurch, April 4. His Excellency the Governor patronises an. exhibition of athletic sports to-day. The convict Cedeno will be hanged tomorrow morning. BiiENHEiM, April 4. A great fire has occurred here. It commenced at midnight, and Mr Henry Dodson's wool store and the shop adjoining were utterly destroyed. Little property was saved, and the loss i% estimated at L6OOO, of which amount about one-third is covered by insurance. The fire, is supposed to have been caused by an incendiary. Napier, April 4. A serious fire occurred on Sunday night at Hallett's run at Puketitiri, which destroyed the homestead, and a man li&med Daniel TV elch was burned to death.
