The brig Magnet, Captain Clinskill, from Melbourne, showed up in the roadstead yesteraay afternoon, and will be brought in on this morning's tide. The s.s Kennedy, Captain Whitwell, arrived from Hokitika yesterday at 1 p.m, and sailed again at midnight for Westport and Nelson . The schooner Mary Van Every cleared out at the Customs yesterday for Picton, and will be towed to sea this morning. The schooner Lady Don, Toomey master, arrived in the roadstead just in time to save the tide, and was smartly picked up by the p.s. Dispatch, and brought to the wharf. She left Lyttelton Heads on the Ist instant, and has, consequently, made a very good trip. She brings a cargo of produce, shingles, and palings, consigned to Messrs D, Maclean and Co, which will be sold by auction on the wharf this day. The s.s. Alhambra has not yet arrived, She is now hourly expected from Melbourne direct, and on arrival will take passengers for all the New Zealand ports and Melbourne.
