District Purse, of 25 soys, open to all horses the property of bonajide residents in tbe Grey District prior to the Ist of January, 1871, and also owners from some date of the horses entered by them. Weight for age. One mile and a half. Entrance, 3 soys. Hurdle Race, of 50 soys, open to all horses. One mile and a half. Heats. SECOND DAY-SATURDAY. Westland Hurdle Handicap, of 75 soys. Two miles and a half. Over nine flights of hurdles. Nominations with 2 soys, to be sent in to the Secretary on or before the evening of Monday, the 13th March, at 8 o'clock, addressed to the Albion Hotel, Greymouth. Weights to be declared at 8.30 p.m. on Friday, 17th March. Acceptances, with 6 soys, to be sent to the Secretary before 11 o'clock the same evening, to tbe same address. Publicans' Purse, of 25 soys, open to all borses. Weight for age. Winner of the Town Plate to carry 71b extra ; of tbe Tral Stakes, 41b extra. One mile and three-quarters. Entrance, 3 soys. The rules of the Greymouth Jockey Club will be enforced, unless when otherwise specified. No entry will be received unless upon the distinct understanding that the decision of the Stewards, or whoever they may appoint, shall in all cases be final, and all law proceedings barred. Entries and Nominations to be made on Monday evening, 13th March, previous to nine o'clock, at the ilbion Hotel, Greymcuth. All Entries and Acceptances must ( be in writing, specifying age and description of horse, colors of rider, and contain the requisite money. All horses must be ridden in colors. All parties entering a horse must, pay the sum of 2 soys. to the Race Fund (unless a member of the Cluh), in order to qualify themselves, caterers for the Hack Race only being excepted. All stakes paid less 5 per cent, towards expenses. Three horses to start, or the public money will be withheld. Nominations bearing post mark of 13th March, will be received.
